LONDON — British police say they have charged a 16-year-old boy with assault after he allegedly splashed bleach on a woman who had asked him to be quiet during a movie. The woman confronted a group of teenagers at a late July screening of “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” in Leeds, about 190 miles (300 kilometers) north of London.
West Yorkshire Police say the bleach attack occurred at a restaurant where the woman and her family went to after the movie. She was treated in hospital.
The teenager was remanded in custody after a court appearance Monday.
