Obama speaks to Democratic governors
WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama addresses a Democratic fundraiser on Thursday before traveling to Copenhagen to make an Olympic-sized pitch.
Obama appears at a Democratic Governors Association event in the afternoon. He’ll then hold separate Oval Office meetings with Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner (GYT’-nur).
Then, it’s off to Denmark, where he’ll make a presidential push for Chicago’s bid for the 2016 Olympics. He’s joining first lady Michelle Obama, who arrived in Copenhagen on Wednesday.
