Hewitt, Safin to play in Queen’s Club tournament
LONDON — Four-time champion Lleyton Hewitt and former top-ranked Marat Safin will play in the Queen’s Club tournament, a major warmup for Wimbledon.
Organizers said Thursday that No. 8 Gilles Simon and No. 10 Gael Monfils have also confirmed their entry for the June 8-14 grass court event.
Top-ranked Rafael Nadal, No. 3 Andy Murray and Andy Roddick had already announced their participation.
Organizers said David Nalbandian had also entered, although he said Wednesday that he may need surgery on a hip injury that would sideline him for at least four months.
