LONDON - After Susan Boyle, a 37-year-old pizza delivery man has taken Britain’s Got Talent by storm with his rendition of Bring Him Home from Les Miserables.

Jamie Pugh, from Gwent, overcame crippling stage fright to give the performance of a lifetime and Simon Cowell believes he can give Boyle a run for her money.

“People have dismissed this series as a one-horse race but Jamie proves this isn’t the case,” the Daily Star quoted a source as saying.

“He was incredibly nervous but has a fabulous voice.

“He gave a real tear-jerking performance.

“Like Susan he’s just an ordinary person with an incredible talent,” the source added.

Cowell reckons that Pugh could be a serious rival to Boyle if he can overcome his terrible stage fright.

He didn’t sleep for three nights before stepping onto the stage at the auditions in Cardiff.

“I suffer from severe stage fright, it has totally crippled me,” Pugh said.

“I’m just a simple bloke from the Valleys, but my dream is to sing at the Royal Variety,” he added. (ANI)
