LONDON - Frumpy Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle has been unleashing four-letter word expletives that have shocked onlookers, a British newspaper reported Thursday.

The Sun said the 48-year-old self-confessed virgin, dubbed the Hairy Angel by British tabloids, went into a meltdown in front of hundreds of guests at the northwest London hotel that is the venue of the hit television show, Britain’s Got Talent.

The paper said police had to intervene Wednesday after she lashed out at two strangers who were apparently trying to wind her up - annoy her.

The singer was heard to roar: “How f***ing dare you! You can’t f***ing talk to me like that.”

One officer told her: “You are in the public eye, you must learn to expect this sort of thing.”

A pal of Susan’s told the star: “You can’t act like this”.

The paper said Susan also flew into a rage Tuesday night after judge Piers Morgan praised her 12-year-old rival, Shaheen Jafargholi, for the top prize.

Shaheen, who wowed the judges with a song from the musical Dreamgirls, was told by Piers: “I think that, pound for pound, that was the best singing performance we’ve seen so far.”

Fellow-judge Simon Cowell added: “You are a real contender in the competition.”

Susan - watching the contest on the hotel bar’s TV with Shaheen’s pals, family and show fans - stood and screamed “f*** off” before flicking a “V” at the screen and storming out.

More than 100 people saw her tantrum, the Sun reported.

An onlooker told the paper: “Everyone staying at the hotel gets on really well - it’s like one big happy BGT family - so everyone was shocked by her outburst.”

Boyle became an overnight global sensation on her very first appearance in the contest in April, when she sang I Dreamed A Dream from the musical, Les Miserables.
