Black Friday ads 2009: Best deals
By jayita, Gaea News NetworkSaturday, October 24, 2009
Black Friday is on Nov 27th, 2009! It’s the biggest retail sales day celebrated every year after Thanksgiving. Retail stores across the world offer special deals on this day. Thanksgiving Black Friday Ads alerts the public about leaked ads as soon as they become available.
Voila! We bumped upon one such Black Friday ad leaked this year. It’s the Office Max Black Friday ad that caught our eyes. Black Friday ads 2009 for Office Max include a stellar deal on an Acer Aspire netbook with Intel Atom processor, 10-inch screen and Windows XP and a Olympus X905 10 MP digital camera.
Black Friday at Office Max:
You can get this netbook for $149,
The regular price of the netbook is $300.
The digital camera is now on sale for $49.
The same camera is currently on sale for $99.
The regular retail price is $149.
The circular was posted on the GottaDeal.com Black Friday site, one of the top deal sites to feature leaked ads. Some readers over on SlickDeals questioned whether the ad was a fake, since it included these decidedly non-office items. But since most of the ad’s items could be found on OfficeMax’s site, they are genuine.

7.Dell:
Laptops
Last year, Best Buy carried the best deal on lower-tier priced laptops those costing between $300 and $500 and will be the store to watch early on again for Black Friday 2009. This retailer offered two Toshiba model laptops, one for $379.99 and the other on sale for $479.96. The difference in price attributed to 1GB of memory and nearly 100GB of hard drive space. Circuit City offered a similar deal, but they are no longer with us.
In the medium price range for laptops the $500 $700 range Dell and Staples pretty much tied in the best deal department. Dell for the $559 price of one of their Inspiron models, and Staples for the $599.98 deal it was offering on an Acer Aspire model. Despite the $40 difference, either one was considered a best deal. Again, these two will be the ones to watch for 2009 Black Friday deals.
For laptops priced more than $700, Dell and Staples once again offered the best deals last year. However, for Black Friday 2009 we will be watching Sam’s Club (that’s right… we said Sam’s Club), Walmart and Office Depot to see it they can enter into the best laptop deal category.
Desktops
With laptops becoming more affordable and popular with more consumers, desktop computers will continue to see a drop in their prices this year. For Black Friday 2009, the stores to watch for the best deal on a desktop computer will be Walmart and Sam’s. However, these are expected to be limited in features and more appropriate for grandmothers wanting to stay in touch via email than for a more serious user.
