4 charged in Pagans case set to plead guilty
CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Four of the 55 men named in a federal racketeering indictment aimed at the Pagans Motorcycle Club are due to enter the first guilty pleas in the case.
The four low-level defendants are to appear before U.S. District Judge Thomas Johnston on Tuesday in Charleston. All are expected to plead guilty.
All were named in a 44-count racketeering indictment accusing Pagans leaders, members and associates from West Virginia, Kentucky, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Delaware and Florida of a variety of crimes, including murder conspiracy and kidnapping.
The four appearing Tuesday are charged cocaine trafficking, interstate travel in aid of racketeering, threatening violence in aid of racketeering and a firearms violation.
