Three killed in blast outside Peshawar Press Club (Second Lead)

ISLAMABAD - A suicide bombing outside the Press Club in the Pakistan provincial capital of Peshawar Tuesday killed at least three people and injured many, including several reporters.

Among those killed was a police constable Riaz, police sources told Geo TV. The suicide bomber blew himself up when he was being searched by security personnel outside the main gate of the Press Club in Saddar area. A passenger bus passing by was also impacted with the ferocity of the blast.

More deaths are feared, sources said.

The explosion shattered the windowpanes of the building. Security forces have cordoned off the entire area, while rescue teams and ambulances have arrived on the blast site, witnesses said.
