Powerful quake jolts Indonesia

JAKARTA - An earthquake measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale Thursday jolted the western parts of Indonesia, the meteorology agency said.
The quake occurred at 3.01 a.m., with its epicentre 32 km southwest of Mentawai island in Sumatra province, the agency said.
There was no report of damage or casualty, it said.
