Oklahoma City police: Fire that killed 3 was arson
OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma City police say an apartment fire that killed three men last month was intentionally set.
Police Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow said Wednesday the deaths of 49-year-old David Handley, 49-year-old Kevin Johnston and 52-year-old Kenneth McReynolds have been ruled homicides.
They say two fires were set Nov. 3 on the first floor of the two-story apartment building. Firefighters found bodies of two of the men on the second floor. The third body was found at the bottom of a first-floor stairwell.
State medical examiner’s office spokeswoman Cherokee Ballard says all three men died of injuries suffered in the fire.
Six other people in the building escaped.
Police have made no arrests.
