Married at 16, Wendy Maldonado, living in Grant Pass went on to see the worst kind of domestic abuse possible, inflicted upon her by husband Aaron. Wendy Maldonado, along with her children saw frightening violence in 18 years of her married life. Some of the worst moments (filmed by Aaron himself) was included in the TV movie, and it showed Aaron dipping his finger in ‘the hollow cavity of a deer carcass’, Aaron getting a high by ‘threatening his kids’ and Aaron ‘bursting open his kid’s head and then filming the wounds instead of getting it fixed’.

Wendy Maldonado, may have lived in Grant Pass all her life, but her story completes in 2005, when she and her eldest son 16-year-old-Randy, killed Aaron by hammering him to death in his sleep and then went to jail. The judge and the jury heard her case and decided that even though their reasons were justified in a way, they could not be left unpunished since ‘the law does not work that way’. In relation to this, Wendy Maldonado was given a sentence of 10 years after she accepted a ‘plea bargain’, and her son was given 75 months in jail.
