Pearl Jam, Aretha Franklin, Van Morrison to headline 2010 New Orleans Jazz Festival

2010 New Orleans Jazz Fest lineup announced
NEW ORLEANS — Pearl Jam, Aretha Franklin, Van Morrison and Lionel Richie are headlining next year’s New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.
The annual outdoor music festival is marking its 41st year. The event spans two weekends in the spring and features hundreds of acts in genres ranging from pop, rock and gospel to R&B, jazz and zydeco.
The festival will be held April 23-25 and April 29-May 2.
As in years past, more than 80 percent of the lineup is from Louisiana. The Neville Brothers, Irma Thomas, Pete Fountain, Dr. John, rapper Juvenile, Trombone Shorty and Buckwheat Zydeco are among the local acts on the roster.
Other acts announced include the Allman Brothers Band, Anita Baker, My Morning Jacket, Darius Rucker and Widespread Panic.
