NEW DELHI - The national capital woke up to a chilly morning Tuesday with the minimum temperature dropping to 8.3 degrees Celsius.

According to the weather office, the temperature is likely to fall further in the coming days following a western disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir.

“Skies will remain clear with mist in the morning. The maximum and minimum temperature is expected to settle at 23 degrees Celsius and 8 degrees Celsius,” an official at the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

December so far has been warm with the minimum and maximum temperatures settling above average.

The coldest day of the season was Nov 28 when the minimum temperature dropped to 7.9 degrees Celsius.
