Fan breaches barriers to reach Britney, leaves her spooked

LONDON - Pop star Britney Spears got more than she bargained for during a concert in Connecticut after a fan stormed on stage in a desperate bid to reach her.

Contactmusic.com reports, the ‘Toxic’ singer’s show at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut May 2 saw an overzealous admirer trying to approach her during her encore.

The man jumped the security barriers and headed towards Spears as she sang ‘Womanizer’ at the end of her show.

‘This guy ran across the stage and towards Britney during ‘Womanizer’. He attempted to dance with Britney! Britney looked extremely spooked,’ said an onlooker.

The man was reportedly apprehended by security guards after Spears’ dancers helped remove him from the stage.

It is not known if the man was arrested following the incident.
