LONDON - Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson is said to have been taken to court by three firms over 21,539 pounds in unpaid bills.
According to reports, firm bosses were so fed up chasing after 49-year-old Ferguson over debts that they each were forced to start proceedings.
Fergie, who was seen on TV last year giving financial advice to a poverty-stricken family, is believed to have come up with the money only after the papers were filed.
She owed 17,672 pounds to Hertfordshire business and accountancy firm MJ Brooks, before it took her to London County Court.
A firm of solicitors took her to Northampton County Court over a 1,750 pounds bill, and photographic firm Shades, of Woking, Surrey, went to Guildford County Court to claim 2,117 pounds owed for prints.
The firms’ complaints had been lodged last September, and it was only in June this year they finally got their money.
“I cannot and will not comment on this,” the Sun quoted Mike Brooks, boss of the accountancy firm, as saying.
A spokesman for the solicitors insisted: “There is nothing I can tell you.”
Fergie’s spokesman also refused to comment on the “private matter”. (ANI)
