Bruins’ Savard leaves with apparent leg injury
RALEIGH, N.C. — Boston Bruins center Marc Savard apparently injured his right leg and left in the third period of Tuesday’s 4-2 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes.
Savard was hurt when he collided with Carolina winger Chad LaRose early in the period. He eventually left the bench to go to the locker room.
Savard had scored one of Boston’s two second-period goals in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference semifinals series. Game 7 will be in Boston on Thursday night.
