LONDON - Street dance group Diversity worked out their winning routine more than two years ago while preparing for the UK dance championships - where also they prevailed.

The dance sensations recently made headlines after beating red-hot favourite Susan Boyle to land the title of Britain’s Got Talent.

The 11-strong group from Essex and London went on to the bag 100,000 million pounds prize and the chance to perform at the Royal Variety Show in December.

Diversity, whose members are aged between 13 and 25, drew scores of fans with their jaw-dropping Transformers-style act, which was instantly recognized by their fans.

Hip-hop guru Ara Steven, who spotted Diversity in 2005 at one of his dance contests, praised the group for putting the mainstream spotlight on street dance.

“They mixed it up a bit for the final, but basically that’s a routine they’ve been perfecting for over two years. But it was amazing anyway. They’re a great bunch of lads,” the Sun quoted him as saying. (ANI)
