Black Friday signifies the Friday after Thanksgiving is celebrated in the United States. The day is significant in itself as it marks the initiation of shopping for Christmas and at the same time various large shops and retailers offer attractive deals to augment their sales. No wonder shoppers look forward to this period and indulge themselves in a buying extravaganza. However, Black Friday 2009 would be welcomed even more as recession has gripped people in almost all strata of society.
