Maya Angelou Rushed To Hospital

Celebrity gossip website of TMZ.com has reported on its website that the celebrated author Maya Angelou had to be admitted to the hospital in Los Angeles on Saturday evening following a health emergency situation. This bit of information gave rise to a surge of rumors to flood the cyber world alleging that the Pulitzer Prize nominated author had passed away.

From the later part of the day on Saturday, social networking sites like Twitter was abound with the tweets of the supposed death of Angelou. However, till now, there has been no official confirmation of the news, therefore it can be considered to be a celebrity death hoax once again. Also, no reports has been brought to light, regarding her present health conditions.

A range of statement is supposed to have taken possession of the Twitter posts wildly, following the hospitalization. Many had stated that she has passed away and there was one [supposedly from her grandson] that had stated that she was doing al-right.

The 81 year old author was reported to have arrived in Los Angeles to receive the honors at the BraveHeart Awards ceremony, which is known to celebrate the outstanding achievements of the women who have brought about a sizeable change in the field of their profession by employing courage and determination.

In the year 1971, her anthology of poems titled “Just Give Me A Cool Drink f Water ‘Fore I Diiie,” had fetched her a Pulitzer Prize nomination. Angelou is widely known for lending her support to the Civil Rights movement by the sheer power of her pen.The scholar Joanne M. Braxton had labelled her as “America’s most visible black female autobiographer.”
