MANGALDOI - Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Rajnath Singh Saturday said the party would bring back all the black money stashed in foreign banks and distribute among ‘the common poor people’ within 100 days if voted to power.

‘If voted to power, we shall put diplomatic pressure and then get back all the black money banks abroad and distribute among the common poor people within 100 days of forming the government,’ Singh said while an addressing an election rally at Mangaldoi, about 80 km north of Assam’s main city Guwahati.

He said fighting terrorism and checking infiltration were the two biggest challenges and the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government would take these issues on a priority basis.

‘We would exert pressure on both Bangladesh and Pakistan not to allow terrorists to flourish… if they don’t have enough forces, then India could send troops to the two countries to fight terror,’ Singh said.

‘In the northeast, terrorism flourished due to large-scale infiltration from Bangladesh and the neighbouring country will have to take the responsibility to stop it.’

Attacking the Congress party, the BJP president said the country needs a bold and efficient prime minister with a firm resolve to boost India’s economy and fight terror.

‘We are confident that under the able leadership of Lal Krishna Advani, India would prosper and we would put an end to the regime of corruption hitting the country,’ Singh said.
