NEW YORK — Just in time for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, Zagat has released an updated guide to Vancouver, with recommendations for restaurants and attractions in the city as well as for the ski resort town of Whistler and for beautiful Vancouver Island, which is reachable from Vancouver by ferry and air.

LANSING, Mich. — In a Dec. 17 story about a new Michigan Promotion Fund, The Associated Press reported erroneously how the fund would be supported. The fund would rely on a portion of Michigan’s sales and use tax collections on certain tourism-related businesses, but would not also include a $2.50 fee on car rentals. The fee wasn’t included in the version of the bill that was adopted by the House.
