Hurricane Fred Becomes Stronger As A Category 2 Storm

Reports have it that Hurricane Fred’s strength has increased and it has been categorized as a number 2 storm. This storm has been maintaining a constant speed of 105mph.
The storm is built up over the Atlantic ocean but luckily it is expected that it will not reach the land. At the same time it is also expected that it will be upgraded to a category 3 storm as its wind speed is expected to reach 115 mph. The National Hurricane Center, which is located at Miami, reports that even though the storm is expected to become a category 3 storm, by Thursday it is expected to wane. Hurricane Fred was last reported to be 500 miles southwest of the Cape Verde Island.
Last month Hurricane Fred had reached category 4. On the other hand a tropical storm that has been named Linda has been reported to be drifting over the Pacific, away from any land mass, at a constant speed of 65 mph.
After Hurricane Katrina, which has taken a toll of human life and property and made many destitute, a lot of other hurricanes have also occurred. A hurricane code named Danny was seen dying down over Newfoundland, Canada, in the last month. Other names to be attached to this string of hurricanes occurring in the US over the past few months are Jimena, which was reportedly a category 3 storm developing over the east Pacific ocean and also hurricane Kevin which had developed some way down the west of Jimena.
