Sania-Chuang crash out of Madrid Masters

MADRID - India’s Sania Mirza and Chinese Taipei’s Chia-Jung Chuang’s run in the Madrid Masters tennis doubles came to a halt with a 6-7(4), 4-6 loss to third seeds Kveta Peschke and Lisa Raymond in the semi-final.

In the final, Peschke and Raymond play top seeds Cara Black and Liezel Huber, who beat fourth seeds Samantha Stosur and Rennae Stubbs, 7-5, 7-6(1).

Sania had failed to qualify for the singles event losing 3-6, 3-6 to France’s Aravane Rezai in the first round of the qualifiers.
