Ron Bloom Appointed As The Manufacturing Czar

The US President Barack Obama is all set to announce the appointment of Ron Bloom as his Senior Counselor for Manufacturing Policy, the White House sources said. The president will announce the appointment of Ron Bloom in Cincinnati.
Bloom was working as the Senior Advisor of the Secretary of the Treasury Tim Geithner as the member of the President’s Task Force on the Automotive Industry. Sources reveal that Bloom will continue to hold his previous position even after being appointed for his new job. Bloom is known for pushing the US automakers, General Motors and Chryster to chalk out viable plans for the future, pushed the CEO of GM to resign.
Bloom, a former vice president of Lazard Freres and Co. LLC, was actually a “restructuring expert” for the US Steelworkers. The appointment of Bloom comes soon after the resignation of Van Jones, the former advisor of the White House. Bloom will now work with the National Economic Council, and the Departments of Commerce, Treasury, Energy and Labor.
According to the sources, in a statement that is supposed to be released on Monday, the US President Barack Obama will officially announce the appointment of Ron Bloom as the Senior Counselor for the Manufacturing Policy. The declaration is all set to take place at Cincinnati. In his speech, Obama is supposed to say, “Last week we had learned that our manufacturing sector has expanded for the first time in eighteen months and has the highest monthly output in two years. That’s why I have asked Mr.Ron Bloom to help coordinate my administrations manufacturing policy.”
Ron Bloom’s appointment is supposed to give the Obama administration a boost of sorts.
