Jharkhand party secretary’s body found in Lalgarh

LALGARH - West Bengal Police have recovered the body of Dhanapati Murmu, a Branch Committee Secretary of the Jharkhand Party (Aditya Group) from the Khas jungle area, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Lalgarh police station.
Superintendent of Police (SP) (West Midnapore District) M K Varma was abducted by suspected Maoists.
Two CPI (M) leaders of Salboni - Tulsi Singh and Brajabikash Mahato, who were also abducted by the Maoists from Loudanga village, arrived at their homes safely on Sunday.
PCPA Convenor Asit Mahato said Ashwini Mahato, who was injured in a gun battle with the combined forces near Buri Pala, died at the Midnapore Medical College and Hospital on Saturday. (ANI)
