Other than Paris some other places which offer variety are Avignon, La Rochelle and Carcassone. Carcassone is thronged by thousands of visitors during this time of the year and specially during this day. The place also offers wonderful fireworks display. Avignon on the other hand gets started with the celebrations comparatively late than the others. But once it does it makes sure that it offers one of the best ones to the revelers. It is only around 7 in the evening that the place initiates into its Bastille day fervor. But 14th of July is enjoyed equally well in this part of France as it is in other parts.
