LONDON - A restaurant in the U.S. has unveiled the world’s biggest burger, weighing in at more than 13 stone.

It sells for 499 dollars at Mallie’s Sports Grill and Bar in Southgate, Michigan.

Steve Mallie, the owner of the restaurant, has revealed that about eight hours were spent on baking the bun big enough to hold the 185lb (84kg) burger.

“Being in the Guinness World Records book is the greatest accomplishment we’ve ever done. ‘I’ve worked my entire life to build this restaurant and being able to have the notoriety of Guinness makes it just that bit more rewarding,” the Telegraph quoted him as saying.

Mallie has revealed that the burger is baked for 15 hours and topped with cheese, lettuce and tomato before being wheeled out into the restaurant on a trolley.

The burger has made it to the latest edition of the Guinness World Records. (ANI)
