NEW DELHI - The winter is on its way out with temperatures continuing to remain above normal and days turning warmer, says the met department.

‘When the haze clears, wind is bound to be generated. That’s the reason for the chilly wind that you have been experiencing, especially in the mornings,’ an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said Wednesday.

‘But other than that the temperatures have been above normal and the bitter winter is waning,’ he added.

The minimum temperature recorded early Wednesday was 10.9 degrees Celsius, three degrees above average. The maximum, the met department predicts, will hover around 24 degrees Celsius, two degrees above average.
