WH understands frustration with Cash for Clunkers
WASHINGTON — The White House says it understands some of the frustration automobile dealers are feeling about the government’s Cash for Clunkers vehicle trade-in program.
The program gives consumers up to $4,500 to trade in older vehicles for newer, more fuel-efficient ones. Participating dealers provide the rebate, then file for reimbursement from the government.
But some dealers have complained about delays in getting back their money. Others have dropped out of the program altogether.
White House spokesman Robert Gibbs says the administration is doing everything it can to process applications more quickly. But he says the administration has received many incomplete applications that must be sent back to the dealer.

Good…, as they say, all good things come to an end. Actually, this could be considered a BAD thing b/c it’s CRAZY, we are giving people money to live more vicariously and lavishly than before all this economical bust took place? What are we doing? Spoiling every single last American? Let’s learn to live in moderation, then we wouldn’t have so much debt…Well, the fish sticks from the head..so the head is the While House…right? |
