Western Gas names president of general partner

HOUSTON — Western Gas Partners LP said Thursday that it named Donald R. Sinclair the president of its general partner.

He takes over for Robert G. Gwin, who has been appointed board chairman and will continue as CEO.

Sinclair, who was a founding partner and president of Ceritas Energy LLC, was also named to the general partner’s board.

Al Walker, the board’s current chairman, will stay on as a director.

Western Gas Partners was formed by Anadarko Petroleum Corp. and gathers, processes and transports natural gas in Texas, the Rocky Mountains and the midcontinent for Anadarko and other producers and customers.
