Walt Disney pledges to preserve the planet

NEW DELHI - Media enterprise Walt Disney has pledged to preserve the planet by reducing greenhouse emissions and fuel use as part of its corporate social responsibility.
The company plans to reduce its emissions, waste and its impact on water and ecosystems. The goals are part of Disney’s 2008 Corporate Responsibility Report.
The new goals and targets were formulated over the last two years by an environmental council of senior executives.
‘We are taking ambitious steps to help preserve our planet for future generations,’ Disney senior executive vice president and CFO Thomas O. Staggs said in a statement Wednesday.
