Vajpayee mourns Venkataraman’s death

NEW DELHI - Former prime minister and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee has mourned the death of former president R. Venkataraman.
In his condolence message Tuesday, Vajpayee said: ‘Besides his contribution in the freedom struggle of the country, Venkataraman has also contributed effectively in reinstating the values of Indian politics and culture’.
Venkataraman was a true leader, a capable administrator and a mature and simple politician, Vajpayee added.
