US dollar mostly higher, gold rises in European morning trading

Dollar up, gold rises in morning trading
LONDON — The U.S. dollar was mostly higher against other major currencies in European trading Monday morning. Gold rose.
The euro traded at $1.3599, down from $1.3622 late Friday in New York.
Other dollar rates:
97.94 Japanese yen, down from 98.40
1.1079 Swiss francs, up from 1.1065
1.1536 Canadian dollars, up from 1.1513
The British pound was quoted at $1.5122, down from $1.5215.
Gold traded in London at $912.50 per troy ounce, up from $907.00 late Friday.
