US dollar mostly higher, gold falls in Europe
LONDON — The U.S. dollar was mostly higher against other major currencies in European trading Wednesday morning. Gold fell.
The euro traded at $1.4134, down from $1.4177 late Tuesday in New York.
Other dollar rates:
—94.80 Japanese yen, up from 94.48
—1.0781 Swiss francs, up from 1.0746
—1.0856 Canadian dollars, up from 1.0823
The British pound was quoted at $1.6359, down from $1.6439.
Gold traded in London at $935.50 per troy ounce, down from $944.25 late Tuesday.
