US dollar mixed, gold lower in European trading
LONDON — The U.S. dollar was mixed against other major currencies in European trading Tuesday morning. Gold fell.
The euro traded at $1.4393, down from $1.4408 late Monday in New York.
Other dollar rates:
—94.69 Japanese yen, down from 95.31
—1.0613 Swiss francs, up from 1.0600
—1.0666 Canadian dollars, down from 1.0675
The British pound was quoted at $1.6937, up from $1.6922.
Gold traded in London at $953.50 per troy ounce, down from $959.75 late Monday.
