US dollar mixed, gold falls in European trading
LONDON — The U.S. dollar was mixed against other major currencies in European trading Wednesday morning. Gold fell.
The euro traded at $1.4186, down from $1.4195 late Tuesday in New York.
Other dollar rates:
—93.45 Japanese yen, down from 93.63
—1.0686 Swiss francs, up from 1.0682
—1.1071 Canadian dollars, down from 1.1073
The British pound was quoted at $1.6370, down from $1.6432.
Gold traded in London at $945.50 per troy ounce, down from $947.75 late Tuesday.
