UN panel to probe Israel’s Gaza bombing

UNITED NATIONS - UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has said that the global organisation will form a panel to probe into Israel’s Gaza raid.
The UN chief made the announcement at a meeting of the UN Security Council Monday.
The closed-door meeting was to brief the Security Council about UN chief’s recent visit to Europe, the Middle East and Asia, Japan’s UN envoy Yukio Takasu told reporters.
Ban said he will inform the panel in the next few days and a report will be presented to the Council on the panel’s findings, Takasu said.
