The University of California, Irvine campus, reports bloodshed. A thirty year old woman has been shot at the university hostel. The shot proved to be fatal and the women could not be saved.
The incident supposedly occurred at around 7 in the evening this Sunday. The woman was found in injured condition in Verano Place, block 4200, in Irvine. Lt. John Hare, of the Irvine Police Department, is investigating the incident. Hare reported that the injured woman was rushed to the nearby area hospital where she breathed her last, shortly.
An arrest has been made by the Irvine police department. The person is suspected to have shot the woman. The police also believes that the suspect, a 35 year old male, was in a love relationship with the woman and when something went wrong between them, the woman had to pay with her life. The police also said that the murder weapon has been recovered.
The police is unsure whether the victim or the suspect were students in the university or not, or whether the two were married or not. But it has been made clear that they were parents to a child.
It has been allegedly reported that the duo had been arguing in their apartment at Verano Palace which continued in the parking lot of the building and the man in a fit of rage fired shots at the woman.
This is the first ever homicide that has been reported at the University of California, Irvine campus.
