UAL names Jane Garvey to board of directors

CHICAGO — UAL Corp., the holding company for United Airlines, said Thursday it named Jane F. Garvey to its board of directors, effective Sept. 23.

Garvey is a former administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration and current chairwoman of Meridiam Investment Fund NA.
