UAE lifts ban on bird imports

DUBAI - The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has lifted a ban on the import of live birds from North America, Europe and other places, WAM news agency reported Tuesday.

UAE Environment and Water Minister Rashid Ahmed bin Fahad said import of birds will be allowed from Europe, North America and South America. However, bird imports will not be allowed from the swine flu affected countries.
