UAE bank organises global seminar on financial markets

ABU DHABI - A workshop was organised here to address the challenges facing the corporate world in the volatile global markets, WAM news agency reported Thursday.

Seventy professionals of top companies participated in the Global Financial Markets Workshop organised by the National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) capital.

The workshop was part of the bank’s initiative to encourage professional learning and information sharing.

The seminar discussed various issues facing the global financial markets as well as provided practical solutions and strategies to mitigate the problems, the report said.

The topics included, capital and money markets, fixed income, international market practice, derivatives instruments and portfolio management.

“The workshop was hosted by NBAD’s financial markets practitioners and top financial markets service providers, said Sameh Al Qubaisi, head of Institutional and Corporate Coverage at NBAD.

“The project team has created two different curriculums designed to suit the needs of the various institutions,” Al Qubaisi added.
