Two policemen killed by militants in Kashmir

SRINAGAR - Two police men were killed by separatist guerrillas in a hit-and-run attack in this Jammu and Kashmir capital Sunday, police said.

A senior police officer told IANS that separatist guerrillas fired at Head Constable Manzoor Ahmad and Constable Abdul Kabir from close range at Qamarwari chowk, 4 km from here.

Both the injured men were taken to a hospital where they succumbed to their injuries, the officer said.

The officer said the policemen were on duty when the militants fired at them.
