LUCKNOW - Two aides of underworld don Chhota Rajan who allegedly tried to kill a builder in Mumbai last year have been arrested here, an official said Thursday.

The gangsters were held in a joint raid by the Mumbai Police and the Special Task Force (STF) of Uttar Pradesh Police.

‘Qamar Saeed alias Munna and Pervez Akhtar were nabbed near the Badshah Nagar railway station,’ Senior Superintendent of Police Amitabh Yash told reporters.

They allegedly attempted to kill builder Dharmraj Singh in Andheri in Mumbai in September last year on the direction of Suraj Shetty, a close associate of Rajan, according to the police.

Police believe that Saeed and Akhtar were also linked to the robbery at filmmaker Sajid Nadidwala’s residence in Mumbai Jan 9.
