Tropical Storm Marty forms off Mexico’s coast
MIAMI — Tropical Storm Marty has formed in the Pacific off Mexico’s western coast.
The National Hurricane Center in Miami says Marty had winds near 40 mph (65 kph) and was moving toward the northwest near 3 mph (6 kph) on Wednesday. The 13th storm of the Pacific season is not forecast to get much stronger.
The center of the system is located about 320 miles (515 kilometers) south-southwest of the southern tip of Mexico’s Baja California peninsula.
