Satellite pictures indicate that the area of disturbed weather east of The Bahamas has developed a well-defined low level circulation - Tropical Storm Danny.
Tropical storm force winds are occurring north and north-east of the center and the structureas resembles more like a tropical cyclone according to cyclone phase analysis from Florida State University.
Tropical Storm Danny, let’s call it that shall we, is over Hispaniola and center east of Bermuda. After 24-36 hours, the large scale models agree that a mid to upper level trough should develop over the great lakes, with a mid to upper level low over the gulf-coast states.

The NAM and the Canadian models forecast Tropical Storm Danny to make landfall in the eastern North Carolina in about 72 hour and move up the US Eastern Seaboard, while the GFS, HWRF and GFDL model show a more easterly track that keeps Tropical Storm Danny offshore until it reaches the Canadian Maritimes.
