Three held for woman’s gangrape in Madhya Pradesh

BHOPAL - Three men were arrested for the alleged gangrape of a 30-year-old woman in Madhya Pradesh’s Dewas district, police said Wednesday.

“The woman was waiting for a bus to go to Ujjain Tuesday when the trio offered her lift in their jeep. Later, they took her to bypass road and raped and assaulted her,” said Dewas Superintendent of Police Gaurav Rajput.

Rajendra Senghav of Dewas, Sunil Mehta of Raisen district and Bunty Patel of Bhopal were arrested by a police patrol on the bypass road, he said.

The woman, who hailed from Ujjain, had come to Dewas on personal work.
