Andhra CM YSR Reddy’s Missing Chopper Located

According to a news report updated by IBN Politics.com, the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, YSR Reddy’s chopper which went reportedly missing since Wednesday has been located on the top of a hill about 40 nautical miles east of Kurnool at a place called Rollapenta. The reportedly mangled chopper that was carrying the Andhra CM was discovered by an Indian Air Force helicopter on Thursday morning.
Indian Air Force Officer, Air Commodore Sagar Bharati of the Bangalore Air Command, who in charge of the search and the rescue operation reportedly said that the IAF helicopters have located the chopper but declined to comment whether the copter was in a good or in a worse state of condition. “Chief Minister’s helicopter has been located. It is on the top of a hill 40 nautical miles east of Kurnool. We are trying to find out if there are survivors. Air Force helicopters are over the location. We are not sure whether it has crashed,” said Air Commodore Sagar Bharati.
“Two helicopters are orbiting by the site. Air Force helicopters are trying to land…because the helicopter is on the top of the hill, it’s a jungle so it is difficult to land,” said the Air Commodore. The Union Home Ministry is said to have confirmed the reports regarding the location of the helicopter in which the Andhra CM was traveling. The CM was accompanied by his Principal Secretary S.Subramanyam and Chief Security Officer ASC Wesley. The chopper reportedly went missing since Wednesday when the CM left for Chittoor in order to attend a function.
Current reports suggest that the chopper has crashed killing the CM and four others present in the Helicopter. The death of Andhra CM YSR Reddy has come as a shock wave for the Congress party and the nation.

According to the sources, the body of the 60 year old along with four other persons that includes his Special Secretary P Subramanyam, Chief Secretary A.S.C Wesley, pilot Group Captain S.K. Bhatia and co piolot M.S. Reddy were found on Rudrakonda Hill, situated at 40 nautical miles east of Kurnool.
Highly placed official sources confirmed that the bodies have been found, thus dismissing all the speculations revolving around the Andhra CM being alive. The sources revealed that the army commandos recovered the dead bodies of all the five people, including the CM, who were traveling via the twin-engine Bell chopper. An Indian Air Force helicopter has been reported to have located the remains of the mangled chopper in which the YSR Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh was traveling.
According to the sources, the news of the tragedy was filtered out after a meeting of the Congress core group that had been organized at the Prime Minister’s residence. On Wednesday, the Chief Minister was reportedly on his way to Chittoor, located 588 km from Hyderabad, in order to attend a function when his chopper reportedly went missing. The possible death of the CM has come as a shock wave for the Congress. State Congress Chief, D Srinivas said, “I don’t think I will see another leader like him in this lifetime.” TDP leader Yerran Naidu said, “Today is a sad day. YSR Reddy was a great leader. I knew him for 30 years. We were really hoping that he would be found safe. We are really shocked.”
