Top Republican on Senate Judiciary Committee says he remains troubled by Sotomayor’s record

WASHINGTON — The top Republican on the Senate committee reviewing Sonia Sotomayor’s nomination said Sunday her testimony did not settle his concerns about elevating her to the Supreme Court.

WASHINGTON — Sonia Sotomayor might find it was easier to disarm Republican senators who have one eye on Hispanic voters than to sway Supreme Court justices who have lifetime appointments.
