KB Home reports new home orders spike from 1st quarter and cancellation rate improves

LOS ANGELES — Going into its second quarter, KB Home had everyone wondering whether the homebuilder could duplicate the standout performance of its first quarter — posting a 26 percent year-over-year increase in new orders for the first time in more than three years.
