Strong quake rocks Honduras

TEGUCIGALPA - A strong quake measuring at least 7.1 on the Richter scale struck offshore from the Central American country of Honduras early Thursday.

Honduran president to sue ex-US diplomat for slander

TEGUCIGALPA - Honduran President Mel Zelaya has said that he will sue former US diplomat Otto Reich for slander after the erstwhile official said Honduras’ leader had condoned corruption at state-run telephone company Hondutel.

Plane with 1,400 kg of cocaine seized in Honduras

TEGUCIGALPA - Honduran police seized a small plane with 1,400 kg of cocaine in the northwest department of Colon, local media reported.
